Reference checking and vetting

Meeting the Security Referencing Team may sound daunting, but they are a welcoming team with a very important role to play.

They are responsible for conducting the security interview where they will guide you through your completed Referencing and Vetting Form. The purpose of the interview is to ensure that your full 5 years history has been captured accurately on the form and to request any further information required as part of your vetting in line with all legal requirements.   

It is important to come to the security interview with all the necessary documents, which have been outlined in the Right to Work Checklist and Verification of Identity documents, which have been emailed to you, you can also find them on this micro-site under Medical and Security Interview.

Once the Security Interview is complete, all information will be passed to the Referencing and Vetting Team, who will be responsible for completing all referencing against the agreed regulatory and security standards. They may be in contact should they require any further information to support your application

Please note, it is very important that you disclose your full 5 years history ahead of your security interview and that you bring along a copy of your HMRC statement. Unfortunately, you will not be seen on the day if you have not complied with the above requirements.
