That’s why we review each and every application to join our Security Team in order to make sure we find the very best people to keep our passengers safe.

What do you need?

Before we dive into the first stage of the assessment process, there are some vital criteria you need to meet to join our team. You’ll need:

  • To have been a resident in the United Kingdom for the past three years.
  • The Right to Work in the United Kingdom. 
  • To provide photographic identification that’s valid for at least 12 months.
  • To complete a Criminal Record check and Counter Terrorism check.
  • To undergo a vetting period of up to 15 weeks dependent on your individual history’, which covers the last 5 years of your employment history.
  • To provide referencing information quickly and in detail.
  • A passion to deliver the best airport experience in the world.

Part-time contracts, full-time training

One key point we really want to emphasise if you’d like to join us on a part-time contract is that our six-week training programme at the start of your employment is full-time. You will need to be able to work full-time hours for the duration of your training.

Online questionnaire

Stage one of your assessment is all about getting to know you a bit better. We’re going to ask you to fill out an online questionnaire. It should take around 40 minutes to complete, and you’ll need to submit your answers to us within five days of receiving your email. This email also contains the link to your questionnaire, so please don’t delete the email before you’ve had a chance to complete the questionnaire.

To keep our airport, passengers and colleagues safe, we need to ensure our Security Officers are vetted to the highest standard. You can complete this page at any point during your application process, but as it can take a while to process everything, we recommend doing it as soon as possible to help us speed up the progress of your application.
